Librarians
Librarians provide professional services in the UC Merced Library in support of the campus’s research, teaching and public service missions. All terms of employment and policies for represented Librarians are contained in the Memorandum of Understanding for the Professional Librarians Unit (LX). Librarians are represented by the American Federation of Teachers, except for those in management, supervisory, and confidential positions, who are covered by APM-360 and APM-365. Personnel processes are managed internally by the Library, with the support of the Academic Personnel Office, as requested.
