Digital Measures Fall 2021

Fall 2021 Updates

To all UC Merced Faculty/Lecturers and Support Staff,

The Academic Personnel Office just learned that Digital Measures underwent multiple enhancements/changes this week. 

To help make your job easier, we encourage you to log into Digital Measures to view these enhancements at your convenience, or visit the “quick video” below to see what these changes look like. 

With these enhancements, you will be able to review your accomplishments for completeness and have more confidence that what is reflected in the system is accurately and comprehensively captured. We know you are extremely busy, and the goal here is to save time by making data management transparent.

When you log into Digital Measures and view any of your activity screens, you will now see some new options that give you more control over the view:

  • A new spreadsheet-style layout makes it easier and faster to review your records to see what’s there, avoid redundant work, and verify the completeness of your information.

  • Sorting, filtering, and search options help you pinpoint specific records that need additional information, so you can close gaps more quickly.

  • The ability to change which columns display and to save those preferences from session to session should enable you to have better manage the task at hand.

This quick video gives a sense of how easy these tools are to use.

It’s necessary to have your accomplishments and activities in Digital Measures for several reasons. At UC Merced, this platform supports our annual reviews, promotion and tenure, reporting, etc. and allows you to share your accomplishments and activities.

Because these changes were implemented quickly, the Academic Personnel Office will hold five (5) weekly Friday drop-in sessions to support you with questions and tutorials as needed.  These sessions have been scheduled via Zoom and available by clicking the links below.

Enhancement Requests 

Newly launched Fall 2021, Digital Measures users now have the ability to request changes.  We value your time and effort in requesting changes to the system, but not all requests will be implemented.  We do guarantee that your request will be appropriately captured via Webform, discussed and prioritized.  The Webform will allow for you to indicate your level of prioty, which will aid in the process of discussion(s) within the Academic Personnel Office, School Personnel and Senior Leadership.

DM Workgroup

APO is happy to announce a dedicated support workgroup.  This workgroup will be launched in October 2021 and will be dedicated to work through system enhancement requests, releases from the Vendor and an overall support in navigating through the system.  Stay tuned for meeting minutes and details of scheduled releases from Faculty Success (formerly Watermark Insights).
