UC Merced Academic Personnel Policies & Procedures (MAPP)

UC Merced maintains a set of policies and procedures specific to the campus. These policies and procedures are detailed in the UC Merced Academic Personnel Policies & Procedures (MAPP) manual maintained by the campus Academic Personnel Office. Campus policies and procedures are intended to supplement academic policies established by the University of California.

University of California Academic Personnel Manual (APM)

The UC Academic Personnel Manual (APM) includes policies and procedures pertaining to the employment relationship between an academic appointee and the University of California. For academic appointees covered by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the APM applies only to the extent provided for in the MOU.

Academic personnel policies are issued by the President of the University of California. These policies are maintained in the APM by the Department of Academic Advancement in the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Department of Academic Advancement is also responsible for maintaining the online version of the APM and posting any subsequent changes.
