Natural Sciences Professor Rudy Ortiz receives $1.78 million from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute to help fund research on the effects of extended fasting and sleep apnea on mammals. This research may help identify mechanisms to better address fasting and apnea-related health complications in humans.
